Where is Casares del Sol located?
Casares del Sol is located in Casares Costa, in the Bahia de Casares area. It sits within the municipality of Casares in Malaga province. It is excellently located and easily accessible for those coming from abroad as several airports are within commutable distance. Additionally, two of the main international airports close by. These are Malaga airport (1 hour’s drive away) and Gibraltar airport (30 minutes drive away).
Driving just 3-minutes from the entrance of the urbanisation will bring you to the beautiful sandy beaches of Casares and the Chiringuito ( beach restaurant), La Sal. However, for the more active amongst us, it is a pleasant 18-minute stroll (1.3km). Moreover, there is no need to cross the main road as there is a pedestrian footbridge connecting Bahia de Casares to Casares Beach (Casares Playa).
The bustling town centre of Sabinillas is located 3km from Casares del Sol. It will take you roughly 5 minutes by car or 45 minutes if walking. Walk down to the beach (across the pedestrian footbridge) and you can then take a lovely walk along the promenade into Sabinillas. A footbridge links the Casares and Sabinillas promenades. This bridge crosses the small river.
The larger town of Estepona is just over 11km away approximately a 15 minute drive.
Alternatively, if you want to escape the coast, then only 10 minutes in the opposite direction is the village of Casares. Narrow streets, designed more for horses than cars, and whitewashed houses that evoke the feeling of the real Spain.

Additionally, they have a great deal for the menu del dia. Also, a cafeteria with an outdoor terrace has been built recently at the bottom of the hill. This offers drinks and snacks and is ideal for a quick coffee.
La Sal Chiringuito is a very popular choice, therefore, we strongly suggest you book in advance. The menu is varied and they have a reputation for being one of the best chiringuitos in the area.
