Sotogrande Marina

Sotogrande Marina is located in a beautiful setting with views across the Marina across to the rock of Gibraltar and North Africa. The port is home to many restaurants, cafés and boutiques with a vibrant market that takes place every Sunday.

Sotogrande Marina has been coined as a ‘mini Venice’ with a number of artificial islands around the Guadiaro River. Here, there are numerous developments of luxury apartments. Many of these apartments can be bought with moorings so that you can keep your boat right outside your home.

Here is an example of a property that we recently sold in Marina de Sotogrande in Jungla del Loro:

There are many activities to do in and around the Marina with the Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande offering sailing and nautical sports. Additionally, there is the opportunity to rent out jet skis and boats from the Marina. You can also walk from the Marina to the stunning Sotogrande beaches. At the beaches, you can try the menus of numerous chiringuitos. Check out our recent blog to read all about the chiringuitos from Sotogrande to Estepona.

Small towns near Sotogrande

There are two additional small towns near Sotogrande, both very different and charming. Prices in these areas tend to be lower than if you live within the actual resort of Sotogrande, yet they are only literally minutes away.

Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro

Pueblo Nuevo is a little town with internal roads leading it to Sotogrande. It is more like a Spanish village in many ways. It has a square with different shops and supermarkets, health stores, restaurants, banks, boutiques, a gym, a chemist and many more amenities. There is even an ‘Overseas’ (Iceland) supermarket if you are craving British foods and snacks!! Over the last 20 years we have seen this town really develop and grow. There are some lovely villas here. The nice thing about this area is that you can enjoy all the benefits of Sotogrande but also be able to walk to many amenities.

Literally, you can be in the privacy of your home and then leave, walk to the shops, buy a paper and have a coffee in the town.
