History of Andalucia talk in aid of Adana

The local animal rescue charity, Adana, offers several interesting fund raising events throughout the year.  The latest is an informative talk on the History and development of Andalucia focussing especially on the Islamic influences.

The illustrated talk, entitled The Story of Al-Andalus, will be hosted by Michael Barry, author of the book Homage to Al-Andalus and will take place at the Palacio de Congresos, Estepona on monday 22nd October. Doors open at 19.00h with the talk starting  at 19.30h.  Michael will tell the  intriguing story of al-Andalus from its splendour to its conflicts. Many of Spain’s fantastic historical buildings such as the  Alhambra in Granada and the Great Mosque of Cordoba all date from this period in history.

Tickets to the event include a glass of wine after the talk when people will have a chance to chat with Michael Barry.
