Popped back to the UK last weekend for a family Christening and left the car at Malaga airport. Parking at Malaga can be very expensive, especially if you use the on site car parks sop most people tend to use the various off site parking companies.. We have used one such company, “Chips away” several times and have found them to be extremely efficient, friendly and cheap… Their depot is located a few minutes drive past the airport and is well signposted. Simply call or email them beforehand to book your place.. Having said that, one time I forgot and we called them as we arrived at the airport…still no problem, they told us to come straight round!! Once you arrive at the depot, the friendly staff help unload your bags from your car and pop them onto a courtesy bus. You leave your keys with the staff and then they take you and your luggage back to the airport terminal in the courtesy bus. On your return, you call Chips away, once you have collected your luggage and by the time you get out of the terminal, the bus is waiting for you to take you back to your car. This complete service only costs €5 per day and you also have the option to have your car fully valeted and cleaned whilst you are away (for an extra charge of course)
The above service is fantastic in itself, but when I booked this time, they offered me their new “Valet parking” service. Its very simple – you call them when you are about 20 minutes from the airport , when you arrive at the airport, go to the departures level for terminal 3 and park at the end of the canopy. A member of chips away staff will meet you there, and take your car from you. On your return, you again call once you have collected your luggage, go back to the same place you dropped of the car and the chips away staff bring your car back to you. You pay them what you owe and drive off. And the best bit is, there is no extra charge for this service, you still only pay €5 per day.. If you are in a hurry, it saves so much time – we were actually back home in Manilva within 90 minutes of our plane landing…
