The Foreign Residents Department has organized a trip to the “Oktober BierFest’ which is held every year in the small mountain village of Jimera de Libar. The Festival is held in Bar Alioli, a popular bar / restaurant located just outside the station. There will be live entertainment with music from many local artists and bands and of course, lots and lots of beer.
There will be the chance to sample from a selection of 25 different bottled beers, and 5 draught beers from Spain, Denmark, Germany, UK and France.
This year’s festival takes place this Saturday 12th October (which also happens to be a national holiday).
The festival normally starts around midday and goes on until late in the evening. To soak up all the beer, Bar Alioli offers a wide range of Tapas and snacks, and coffees and soft drinks for those who don’t want to participate too much…
The price of the trip including return coach travel is €8 per person. The coach leaves the Castle at 11.00am, followed by Sabinillas bus stop by Supersol at 11.05am, returning from Jimera at 22.00.
