This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the countryside and take advantage of the weekly hikes and tours organised by Ecotours Casares. This weeks offering is a short hike over hills above Gaucin. The hike will take place on Sunday March 15th and will be 4km long (that’s a short hike compared to some of the others) with a gradient of 400 metres.
From the highest point of the hills, there is a spectacular panoramic view of the Genal and Guadiaro valleys, the Serranía de Ronda, Sierra Bermeja and Crestellina, the Strait of Gibraltar and the African coastline. You will need doubt also see an eagle or two..
There will be an experienced guide on hand to offer information on the plants and wildlife as well as the history of the area.
