This time of year is great for hiking and this is one of the prettiest hikes in our area.
This Sunday, 8th February, Ecotours Casares have organised a circular hike, starting and finishing in Genalguacil and taking in the river Almárchar.
Genalguacil is a beautiful whitewashed village set in the Genal valley shadowed by the Sierra Crestellina mountains. The route is 8km in length with a medium difficulty level and should take around 6.5 hours to complete. The hike will leave Genalguacil at 10.00.
After the hike, you can retire to one of the local ventas for a well deserved lunch (menu del día 9€). After lunch, you will be taken on a guided tour around the village including a visit to the art museum.
The price for the hike including guide and insurance is just 8€ per person.
