Following recent renovation and enhancement works, Estepona’s hitherto hidden Castillo de San Luis, is now on full view in all it’s glory. The castle is a 16th century listed building which had been concealed in the back streets of Estepona for over 100 years.
A pedestrianised street now connects the Castle with Plaza Cañada, which allows people to walk around the Castle walls. Special LED loghting has been installed which creates a wonderful display once the sun goes down
As well as uncovering the castle, several Roman and Arabic archaeological remains were also discovered.
You can find the castle near to the clock tower and the indoor market – another place to add to my “to visit” list..
