As part of the Autumn calendar, the Manilva Foreign Residents Department has organised a 3 day trip to Extremadura between the 14th and 16th November.
Extremadura is located in western Spain, near to the border with Portugal and is famed for its wildlife and historic buildings.
The trip will include a visit to Caceres, where the walled city has been declared as an Unesco World Heritage site. There are many ancient monuments and churches to visit here with some dating back as far as the 12th century.
Another town on the tour is Trujillo where again there re many ancient buildings to be found.
Finally you will visit the town of Mérida where there are any links to the Roman empire including remains of Roman Bridges and a Roman amphitheatre.
During the trip, you will also get to see the Santa Maria de Guadalupe Monastery which dates back to the 13th century.
