After being closed all summer, the Peñoncillo road is finally open again. This road runs from Pueblo Mexicano on the main road up to the Roundabout at the entrance to Manilva. It is a fantastic short cut from Manilva down to Duquesa.
The road has been made wider (from 6 – 8m), and re- tarmacked . It now has a proper pavement on one side and a “rougher” pavement on the other. With Manilva’s high school situated in the middle of this road, it was essential that the pupils who wished to walk to school, could do so safely.
Now, when I come out of Mercadonna, I can come home back to Manilva either way…bliss!!!
