Sevillana World Record Attempt in Estepona

As part of the celebrations for the opening of Estepona’s new fair ground, the townsfolk of Estepona are going to attempt to break the world record for the number of couples dancing the Sevillana at the same time.

The Sevillana dance is a colourful dance from the region of Seville  and, although not officially Flamenco, it is often performed as part of Flamenco shows. The Sevillana dance is performed at almost all fiestas in Spain, in particular, the Ferias.

The current record is 1,550 people which was set in Cordoba in 2012.  Let see if we can beat that!!
