Now this is one trip I would certainly recommend.
The Foreign Residents Department of Manilva have organised a trip to the water park, Bahia Park in Algeciras. There are a few water parks in the area but, in my opinion, this is one of the best and the most “family friendly”. It is about 35 minutes drive from Sabinillas and there is plenty of free parking. But, this time, save the hassle of driving and go on the trip instead where a coach is provided.
The trip is planned for Saturday 21st June with the coach leaving the castle at Castillo at 11.00am. (return time is 19.00 when the park closes).
There are several different water slides and attractions including a new children’s area and the largest jacuzzi in Andalucia, with space for up to 50 people.
During high season, there is normally some sort of children’s entertainment at the wave pool and the opportunity to have your photo taken in various costumes..always a hit with the kids. Some of the slides require rubber rings – you can either queue up for these rings on each ride or hire your own for the day.
The cost of the trip is:-
Adults: 16€
Children 2 – 12years 15€ ( 0 – 2 years free)
The price includes the entrance to the park and return coach travel. Considering that standard adult entrance is €19 per person, this is a really good deal.
