Manilva’s local charity, The Duquesa Charitable Society of St George has, today, opened the doors of its new charity shop in Sabinillas. The Duquesa Charitable Society of St George is a registered charity which raises money to support local projects. They recently provided almost 350 presents for the children of families in need after a successful Christmas Present drop.
The shop can be found in Calle Duquesa de Arcos, opposite Graingers bar (next to shoe repairers) and is open 10.00 am until 1.30pm Monday to Saturday. It is hoped to extend these hours soon. The shop stocks a huge range of second hand items from clothes and shoes, to books and household items. The shop is run by volunteers with all proceeds going to the charity to support local good causes.
So, if you haven’t yet had that post Christmas clear out, then please do so and donate your unwanted items to the shop. Remember one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!!
