Did you know that there was an Arboretum in Marbella?? An Arboretum is defined as “ a living collection of trees and other woody plants, located in the same space and provided with its own research, exhibition and conservation”.
Well, Marbella’s Arboretum is organising a special event on December 7th with the aim to plant over 1,000 native trees and shrubs in just one day. This will be the third such event held.
Everyone is welcome to take part as the Arboretum is “a people’s forest”. Last year almost 400 took part planting more than 3000 trees and shrubs in one day – must more than anticipated.
The events kicks off at 11am with the day’s timetable as follows:-
11 am – Registration and Introduction
12 noon – Digging and planting
2 pm – Kids’ Workshop (Nendo Dango) & an educational puppet show for smaller children
3 pm – Ends with a group photo
Arboretum Marbella can be found at Finca El Trapiche s/n, 29602 – Marbella, Malaga. Why not pop along for a real fun family day out, and help this worthy cause and the environment…plus it’s a welcome break from Christmas shopping!!
