Manilva’s cultural department has organised a trip to the mountain town of Ubrique. The trip, which forms part of a series of cultural events organised for Autumn and Winter, will take place on Saturday 23rd November.
The town of Ubrique has Roman origins and has been declared a historical site. Ubrique is famed for it’s leather industry. As well as enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape there will be the opportunity to visit many of the town’s historic buildings and museums. During the morning, there will be a visit to the Hermitage of SanAntonio – a tiny chapel dating back to the 1700’s, the Ubrique information centre and the leather museum.
Lunch is included and will be served in Restaurante Plaza, in the Plaza de Toros. After lunch, there will be a visit to the bull fighting museum after which there will be free time to experience the area.
The price of the trip is €25 per person which includes return coach travel, lunch and entrance and all entrance fees. The bus will leave the roundabout in Manilva at 8.30am and the bus stop by Bernard Munoz in Sabinillas at 8.45. Return time is approximately 8pm.
