Fancy a bit of culture?? If you happen to be in Malaga on a Sunday, then plan your trip to The Picasso Museum between 6pm and 8pm as entry is free.
The Musuem is located in Palacio de Buenavista in C/ San Agustín, in the centre of Malaga, only 200 metres from the Plaza de La Merced, where Picasso was born. Opened in 2003, it now houses almost 300 pieces of the artists work form his early drawings to the more well known “cubist” work, as well as various other temporary exhibitions held throughout the year.
Even, if you’re not particularly into art, its well worth a visit (shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours).
Free entry is also available anytime to the following:
1.Registered unemployed
2. Under 18’s
3. Holders of Tarjeta de Joven (Youth card)
Normal ticket prices are
- Permanent exhibition: €6.00
- Temporary exhibitions: €4.50
- Combined ticket: €9.00
Guests over 65 and students up to age 26 can get half price entry.
Normal opening hours are as follows however there are same days when the hours are extended. Check the website www.museopicassomalaga.org for more information.
Tuesday to Thursday: 10am to 8pm
Friday and Saturday: 10am to 9pm
Sunday and public holidays: 10am to 8pm
