The Trade and commerce Delegation of Manilva Town Council has organized a Christmas Window Competition between the traders and businesses of Manilva, so we can expect to see some beautiful displays throughout the town. We might not make the Selfridges or Hamleys status but it doesn’t matter…I think its great that the council are encouraging businesses to take part in this and therefore, enticing customers into their shops which in turn, boosts the local economy.
The competition is open to all businesses in the area with the prizes being, €300 for first prize, €200 for second and €100 for third. The displays must be in place from December 6 to January 6 but there is no set theme, the businesses owners can create any image as long as it evokes the spirit of Christmas…the only condition is that the poster, stating that the business is participating in the competition is prominently displayed in the window,
Any business wishing to participate must register at the Delegation of Commerce, in the edificio usos multiples in C / Miguel Delibes, Sabinillas, before December 5th or by phone on 952 89 35 07.
Ohhh 1st December and I’m beginning to feel a bit Christmassy….
