Trip to Antequera

Manilva’s Department of Education and Culture has organized a trip to Antequera, this Saturday 10th November. This trip forms part of a series of cultural visits, organised by the delagation for the autumn and winter months.

Antequera is known as the “heart of Andalucia” due to its cental location. It has an extensive archaeological and architectural heritage, and you will be able to appreciate both on this trip.

The trip will include a visit to the natural park of El Torcal, famous for its unstable limestone rocks, and the megalithic dolmens of Mega and Viera.

After a stop for lunch in the city centre, there will be a tour of the streets of the old town with its many historic buildings.

After this. there will be a stop at the  Christmas sweets factory, where turron and polvorones  are all handmade.

The price for the trip is 15€ per person and includes the three visits mentioned above, plus transport, and breakfast in an Antequeran venta.  (please note lunch is at your own cost)

The bus will leave from Manilva roundabout at 7:00 am and 7:15 am from the Supersol stop in Sabinillas. The estimated time of arrival back in Manilva  is approx 21:30.
