As promised, here is further details of the trip to Sanlúcar de Barrameda first of the Autumn /Winter events organised by the Foreign Residents department.
Sanlúcar de Barrameda is situated in the province of Cadiz, 8 km from Chipiona and is a delightful small town which dates back to Roman times. Like many towns in this region, it is known for its distinctive manzanilla wine, and its excellent seafood, for which manzanilla is the ideal accompaniment.
Anyway the trip takes places on Satrurday 17th November and will include a visit to the Bodega Barbadillo where you will get to see how the manzanilla wine is made and or course, to sample some.. As well as this there will also be a guided tour of the town allowing you to see the many monuments and historical buildings and a visit the “La Rondeña” – the famous Polvorones (small spanish biscuits) factory. The afternoon will be free to some shopping or chill out as you wish.
The cost of the trip is €16 per person which includes transport. please note, lunch is not included but there are some fabulous restaurants for you to try.
The coach will leave the castle in Castillo at 08.30 and return around 18.00.
