We met some friends for dinner last night and as we were all on a budget, decided to go to Mumbai Palace Indian restaurant on the Sabinillas paseo, where, on a Sunday, they offer an “all you can eat” buffet for €11.95 per person.
There is tandori chicken wings, onion bhajis and salad for starter, followed by a choice of six different curries ranging from chicken Tikka masala for those of us who prefer a mild curry to beef jalfrazi for those who like it hot. Curries are served with pilau rice and naan bread. Finally, desert is fresh melon and an Indian desert, (not sure what that was but was like cold rice pudding!)
All food is freshly cooked and the buffet plates are constantly replenished. The place was packed last night, with people even eating inside as all outside tables were full.
The drinks are a little expensive but as the food was so cheap (and very good!) you didn’t mind too much. Total bill for 9 of us was €138. The only downside was that we all overate and came out completely stuffed!!!
