The absolute best Ice cream shop in the area opened again for the the summer last week. Heladeria Da Vinci in Sabinillas is an absolute must visit. The selection of Ice cream flavours is amazing although we all seem to have our personal favourites, mine being either dulce de leche (which is like a caramel) or white chocolate.
All the ice cream is home made and absolutely delicious. The ice cream is served in either wafer cones – the traditional Italian cones – or in tubs with a spoon and you can choose either small, medium or large sizes. If you want, you can have 2 or 3 flavours together in one pot. Da Vinci’s also sell ice cream in larger 1l tubs to take away.
No trip to Sabinillas is complete with stopping at Da Vinci’s for an ice cream. In fact, I’m sure many of the local restaurants miss out on serving clients desserts because they have dinner then go to Da Vinci for ice cream.
Da Vinci’s can be found in Calle Duquesa de Arcos, nº 24 – the road running alongside the paseo. They are open everyday from lunchtime until way past midnight in the height of the summer.
Give them a try – you will not be disappointed
