I don’t know about you but I have a drawer full of old specs at home ….well now you can clear out that drawer and support a good cause at the same time.
Branches of Specsavers – our nearest ones are in Marbella & Fuengirola – have joined forces with Lions Clubs International for a “Recycle for Sight Month” campaign.
The campaign will run from 16th February to 29th April 2015, with the aim to collect as many unused pairs of glasses as possible.
Once collected, the glasses are then sent to the recycling plant where they are seperated and graded, then cleaned and boxed ready for transportation across the developing countries.
What can be better than giving someone the gift of sight by simply donating your old glasses.
