Even though it’s been open for a few weeks and is packed with skaters and skateboarders almost every day, the “official” opening of the new skate park in Sabinillas is tomorrow, 13th November at 5pm.
The new skate park is situated in the Maicandil area, behind the Guardia Civil offices and has several ramps, tunnels, tubes and rails for the skaters to enjoy.
Skateboarding has become extremely popular in the area over the last year and although there is already a skate park in Manilva, the Sabinillas skaters were practising in the main square and along the paseo which, although are obviously, open to everyone to enjoy, the skating did disturb many people and spoil their enjoyment of the areas. Now, everyone is happy!!
