Local elections aren’t until next May but we are already beginning to feel the impact. The local newspaper, The Resident, is organising a series of informal meetings which will be held over the next few months across Manilva ,Casares and Estepona. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 29th October from 6pm at the Mayfair Music Club, Plaza Ginebra in Sabinillas.
The purpose of the meetings is to get feedback from the foreign residents, their concerns and hopes. The results will be passed onto all the political parties so that they can (hopefully) include it in their election manifestos.
Some of the areas that will be covered in the meetings are:- Cleaning, Infastructure, transport, security and local taxes. Of course, the organisers are also open to other suggestions for topics to discuss.
So, if something is bugging you or you would like something done, pop along and air your views….Can’t do any harm!
