Manilva Foreign Residents Autumn programme of Events

At a successful open air presentation last week at the Castle in Castillo , the Manilva Foreign Residents department announced their programme of events and activities for the next few months.

Here’s a brief summary of what’s to come:- More details of each event will follow as said event approaches.

 

There are several regular events:-

Language Exchange Coffee Mornings – These take place in Kinsale Bar in Duquesa port  every Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10.30am.

Guided tours of Manilva Wine Centre – This will be on the first Thursday of each month. To reserve a place, contact the Foreign Residents department at the Castle.

Women in Business  networking meeting  Every third Wednesday of the month from 7 pm in the Villa Matilde, Sabinillas

Tai Chi classes and Oriental Exercise – Each Tuesday from 5.30 to 7 pm in the Villa Matilde, Sabinillas. For more information and to register, visit the office in the Castle.

October

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th
A weekend of activities in Duquesa including concerts, golf tournament, and the raft race (postponed from August).

Friday 31st
Halloween Party for the kids in the Castle from 4.30pm
Halloween Fancy Dress Party and Disco for the adults from 9.30 pm in the Mayfair Music Club, Sabinillas

November

Informative talk about being on the Padron. Date and venue to be confirmed.

Friday 14th – Sunday 16th
Trip to Extremadura, to include visits to Cáceres, Trujillo, the Guadalupe Monastery, and Mérida.

December

Thursday 11th
Trip to Málaga for some Christmas shopping,  sightseeing, lunch and the Christmas Lights.

Saturday 13th
Foreign Residents Christmas Dinner at Kelly’s Bar in Monte Duquesa.

Thursday 18th
Trip to La Linea’s Palacio de Congresos to seet he Moscow Ballet perform The Nutcracker.

January

Thursday 29th
Show and dinner at Restaurante La Mecedora, Sabinillas

Saturday 31st
Trip to the Cadiz to take in Vejer, Arcos and Jerez.

February

Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd
Trip to Cazorla, Ubeda and Baeza.

Saturday 28th
Andalucian Dinner and Flamenco Show at El Molino in Sabinillas. (well, it is día de Andalucia)

March

Tuesday 17th
Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in Orange Square, Punta Almina, Sabinillas

Saturday 28th
Trip to Cordoba

April

Saturday 11th
Foreign Residents Day

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th
Trip to Granada for a night visit to the Alhambra Palace and overnight stay.

Thursday 23rd
Saint George’s Day celebrations in Duquesa Port.

May

Saturday 16th
International Family Day in Castillo de la Duquesa.
