YES! YES! YES! FINALLY…. after god knows how many years talking about it, the mayoress of Manilva and Casares have signed the agreement to extend the paseo maritimo (promenade) over the river Manilva and join together the paseos of Manilva and Casares.
After my post in January I had my doubts as to whether it would actually happen…but work is scheduled to start on Monday!!
The bridge is to be a wooden structure, 41m long and 2m wide. The bridge will not have any steps, making it perfectly accessible to the disabled and to mothers with prams.
The work is expected to be completed in 3 months…..not quite in time for the summer season, but after waiting this long..who’s complaining??!!
