A sneak preview of this years effigy that will be set alight for the San Juan celebrations which take place on the beach in Sabinillas on Sunday.
This is the timetable…. but don’t expect everything to run to time…however, the one thing that WILL be on time is lighting of the bonfire. This is always at the stroke of midnight..
9.15 pm Students from Manilva’s Rhythmic Gymnastics School will carry the Blue Flag along the promenade from Burger King to the Plaza del Cali (in front of the statue) where it will be raised by the mayoress. The students will then perform a gymnastics display on the stage
10.15 pm Music from the group Tentación
12.00 midnight The bonfire will be lit, followed by a huge fireworks display. Be aware that this year, (for reasons unknown but quite probably health & safety is finally catching up!!) the fireworks will be set off on the beach in front of La Noria and not around the bonfire as in previous years.
More music from ‘Tentación’ and the party will continue way into the early hours!!!
Come early, by 10.30 there is “shuffling” room only on the paseo.
