This is now becoming an annual event in Sabinillas and is almost as popular as the San Juan festival. This year’s “Fiesta de la luna llena” is this coming Saturday, 20th July and, as usual, will take place on the beach and paseo in Sabinillas
Expect an evening of music, fireworks, entertainment and a general “chilled out” atmosphere on the beach. The town hall provide huge white mattresses and cushions to sit on, on the beach – but you do need to grab your spot quick!!
As before, you are asked to come dressed in white as this really does add to the atmosphere. Published start time is 8.30 pm but a little tip…. this will probably be nearer 10pm as there will no doubt still be people sunbathing on the beach at 8.30pm!!
The lights on the paseo will be dimmed to allow the full splendour of the moon as it rises over the Mediterranean to be appreciated. The beach will then be lit by hundreds of candles and torches.
The entertainment programme hasn’t yet been released (come on, this is Spain!) but it should be more of less the same as last year – chill out music, jugglers, fire eaters, and acrobats.
