School of Rock comes to Sotogrande next week as local musicians compete in the first ever “Battle of the Bands”. The event will take place on Saturday 6th October at 8pm at the Courtyard Bar and Restaurant situated in the Mar y Sol Commercial centre in Sotogrande.
Over 10 acts are scheduled to perform, all aiming to claim the title of “Best Band” There are a number of prizes up for grabs including a gig at a local music venue and a studio session.
The only entry requirements for anyone wishing to compete is that you must perform two songs on the night: one cover versionand one original compeosition and band must comprise at least two members.
There is no charge for entry, either for contestants or audience so make a note of the date. You never know, Simon Cowell may be in the audience!!!. Looks to be a great evening of entertainment.
