I bet there were a few sore heads in Manilva on Monday after this years Vendemia. It was very successful, packed both days and with plenty of eating and drinking going on…
The disco started pumping around 10pm on Saturday and continued until 5.30am the following morning…
Sunday’s festivities were slightly (but only slightly) more sedate. The main street in Manilva was heaving with people from babies to Grannies. There was a real party atmosphere, loads of different tapas to try as well as paella and freshly caught and grilled octopus.. I’m sure the bars in Manilva make more in this one weekend than they do for the rest of the year! Once the live music started, everyone was up dancing in the street.
At about 5pm, the parade of horses came through. This was amazing this year. There is normally only 5-6 horses but this year, there must have been nearer 30. The parade was led by a young boy on a pony – so sweet – and continued with other riders both young and old. The finale to the parade was a very competent rider who was making his horse “dance” Not quite Olympic standard dressage but still very entertaining…
Overall, a good time had by all. Looking forward to next year’s one already…
