Many of my friends had recommended this beauty salon to me over the past year, so yesterday, my daughter and I, finally got round to having the pedicure we’ve been promising ourselves for months!!
A lot of the local hairdressers also offer manicures and pedicures on the side, but Venus is solely a beauty salon offering all sorts of beauty treatments. It is run, very efficiently, by a mother and daughter team, mum runs the reception and front of house while the daughter is the beautician and does the treatment. The downside is that she can only treat one person at once so you sometimes have to wait for an appointment.
The salon itself is very spacious, a large open reception area with several treatment rooms off of it. The decor is subtle and calming and relaxing music (last night was Enya) is played throughout. The treatment rooms are all air conditioned with all the latest hi tech equipment. Prices are no more expensive than any other centre in the area. Basic pedicure was €15. We opted for the luxury pedicure at €19 which includes a moisturising cream. For me, it was not the best pedicure I’ve had, but maybe I’m just fussy, all my friends rave about the place….
Venus can be found in Calle Duquesa de Arcos, at the far end of the paseo, opposite the large children’s playground. The is 2 large car parks nearby too. You can call for an appointment on 952 89 27 60.
