Miel restaurant has been established on the Sabinillas paseo since 2004 and is a firm favourite with the ex pat residents as well as the holidaymakers.
Miel serves everything from breakfast – a nice fresh croissant to a full English, lunch, a huge range of salads, pastas and sandwiches, dinner, a light snack or fillet steak, and best of all the to die for desserts. Attention to detail is second to none – coffee is served on small individual trays with a small piece of cake on the side.
The Belgium owner, Kaat, ensures that everything is kept to the high standard she expects.
Miel’s speciality and my personal favourite is the Belgium pancakes. A large pancake with different sweet or savoury toppings. Sweet toppings include banana and Belgium chocolate sauce, fresh fruit, strawberries, or the traditional lemon and sugar, all served either with or without ice cream.
Make sure you have enough room left if ordering after dinner as they are not small – but they are not to be missed so ideal for sharing…
We quite often pop in late afternoon and have a pancake for tea…
