On a viewing with clients yesterday, the boss caught these fantastic shots of the fire helicopter attending to a bush fire in the Seghers area of Estepona, very near to the H10 Hotel and the Los Altos de Guadalabon urbanisation.
The fire occurred around 4pm and spread quickly due to the wind. All credit to the “Bomberos” who were quickly in attendance and limited the damage to just scrub land. As a precaution, several houses in the Seghers area were evacuated.
As we have had a very very dry winter and the temperatures are now already hitting the 30’s, I think we will be seeing a lot more of the fire helicopters over the summer. The local councils are urging everyone to be cautious and take care not to leave litter, glass etc. out in the campo…
