On our Friday lunchtime tour of the Chiringuitos, we have taken to drinking Agua con gas (fizzy water) with a dash of lime cordial (lima). It’s really refreshing and gives the edge to a plain water.
Some waiters look at us strangely when we ask for it but other have served it without a problem. In fact, in Cubanga Chiringuito where we went last week, they served the lime in a little jug which meant that as you topped up your water, you could also top up your lime.
Top that with fresh fish and salad and a sea view and you have the perfect summertime lunch
