Halloween is now becoming just as popular in Spain as it is in the UK, especially in areas with a high percentage of foreign residents. The shops are selling all whole variety of Halloween related products from costumes to cakes to decorations and party bags.
As in previous years, there are several Halloween parties taking place throughout Manilva this year.
The first party has been organised by the Manilva Foreign Residents Association and is being held in the Castle at Castillo de la Duquesa from 16.30 pm on 31st October.
An old ruined castle on a dark evening provides an excellent venue – even if it’s not quite dark at 4.30!! There will be gifts for everyone taking part and prizes for the best costumes. As well as this, there will be live music, children’s games, bouncy castle and much more. This event has proved very popular in previous years.
For the teenagers, there is a party in the sports pavillion in Manilva, again on the 31st, starting at 11.30pm. This party has been organised by the bachillerato pupils of Las Viñas school as part of their fundraising for their end of year trip.
The party is open to kids over 16. Entrance is 10€ which is reduced to 7€ if you dress up which includes 2 soft drink or one alcoholic drink (over 18’s only of course!) There will be music provided by popular local DJ’s and several surprises..
Finally, for the adults, there is a “comedy horror” party at the Mayfair music club in Sabinillas.
Something for everyone.
