Here we go again…..fair after fair after fair throughout the summer .. The Spanish really know how to party!!
Estepona kicks of the 2014 season with their summer fair running from 1st to 6th July. Here’s the timetable for the week….but as always, don’t expect everything to run to time.
Tuesday 1st July
19.00: Traditional street parade through the town centre.
21.00: Coronation of the Feria Queens followed by performance by local singer “Rocio Bazan” on the seafront by the “horses” roundabout ( bottom of Avda Juan Carlos I)
23:30 Fireworks display on La Rada beach.
12 midnight: Official opening of the fair with the Estepona Town Band.
00.30 am: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
Wednesday 2nd July
This is the day top take the kids to the fair as all rides are half price!!!
12.30 pm: “Day” Fair in the town centre with shows and entertainment
19.00: Children’s party in the Municipal pavillion’ with a children’s entertainment group.
21.30 : Classical Spanish Dance performnce by the Lourdes Barrientos and Lourdes Bazan Dance Schools.
23.30: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
00.30 am: Actor Angel Garo performs his spectacular “En Esencia”.
Thursday 3rd July
12.30 pm: “Day” Fair in the town centre.
21.30: Dance performances by the Maribel Garcia and Ana Guerrero Dance Academies.
23.30: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
00.30 am: Concert by the Estepona singer Raul Diaz in the municipal pavillion.
Friday 4th July
12.30 pm: “Day” Fair in the town centre.
21.30 : Performances by the Eva Alarcon Flamenco Academy and the Laura Perea School of Modern Dance.
23.30: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
00.30: Concert by Malaga singer Manuel Jesús Rodríguez,and the 80s Spanish pop-rock group ‘No Me Pises Que Llevo Chanclas’ in the municipal pavillion.
Saturday 5th July
12.30 pm: “Day” Fair in the town centre.
19.00: Grand street parade through the town centre.
21.30 Performances by the Marivi Rodriguez Ballroom Dance Academy; Flamenco and Modern Dance with Claudia R. Rodriguez, and the ‘La Milana’ Dance Academy.
23.30: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
00.30: Concert by the singer‘David de Maria’ in the municipal pavillion.
Sunday 6th July
12.30 pm: “Day” Fair in the town centre.
Between midday and 7 pm the local riding clubs will be parading through the town visiting the various ‘casetas’.
21.30: Performances by the Miguel Angel Modern Dance Academy and the Monica Peña Dance Academy.
23.30: Music and dancing into the early hours in the Municipal pavillion.
Midnight: Concert by Jose Manuel Rodriguez in the municipal pavillion.
