There has been a Town band in Manilva for many years and owing to the success of Manilva’s music school, the band has gone from strength to strength and are now really rather good!
You can see the band perform at most of the fiestas, parades and events in the area but, tomorrow, they get to showcase their talent. They will be performing a concert in Sabinillas, in the Plaza Vicente Espinel (behind the taxi rank). The concert starts at 10.30pm – you do get used to everything starting so late in the summer (and generally, later than advertised)!!!
The members of the band span a large age range from the young to the not so young. They perform a huge range of musical styles from classical to pop with many recognisable tunes you can clap along to.
There a several lovely bars in the square so pop along for a cool drink and enjoy some musical entertainment courtesy of Manilvas Town band.
