As on previous years, the youth delegation of Manilva has organised a lifesaving and lifeguard course for anyone wishing to obtain this certificate.
This course is very popular with the older teenagers (16 and over) in the area as they obtain jobs as lifeguards in the many community pools around the area during the summer holidays and can earn quite a bit…
The course is run over the weekends during April and May which means that students can attend the course without if affecting their schooling..
This years course starts on 6th April and runs until 19th May.
As well as this, there is a special one day course to be held on 25th May for anyone who needs to renew their certificate.
The cost of the course is €230 or €60 for the renewal.

On the first day of classes, pupils will need to bring 2 passport sizes photos and a medical certificate stating that you are fit to do the course.
