The English Bookshop has been is Sabinillas for many years, providing new and second hand English books to the ex pat readers of the area. When the previous owners, Edwin and Alma, retired a few years ago, the business was taken over by a fantastic gentleman called Steve. Steve has taken the business into new fields, offering many new services and has even recently extended the shop to almost double its original size. Steve has obviously realised, that he needs to move with the times and with the increase in the use of Kindles and E- Readers, the humble book will eventually become a thing of the past. Personally, I hope this is a few years away yet… Yes, I have a Kindle but still enjoy picking up a book!!!
As well as a huge selection of new and second books, The English Bookshop now stocks a large range of stationary and greetings cards as well as anything you would need for a party such as banners and helium balloons.
They are agents for Offex, which offers a first class postal service for sending and receiving mail and packages to or from the UK and have also recently become agents for “Hits mobile”. This means that you can top up your phone at the English bookshop or even buy yourself a new phone…They have a whole range of the latest smartphones in stock.
